Comments: I've been away from photometry for quite a few years. I built my first one after visiting with Russell Genet when he lived in Fairborn, Ohio. I actually bought a transformer bobbin from you (Jeff) way back when to build your HVPS design in his book. I plan on joining the IAPPP soon. I'm working with some other local society members, one of which has a 16" LX-200 and a SBIG spectrograph. We hope to get some useable data from that setup as well.
